Carnegie Mellon University which was formerly known by many names. Founded by Andrew Carnegie a Scottish American Industrialist, this university was named as Carnegie Technical School. Later on, by the year 1912, it started its four-year degree program and named Carnegie Institute of Technology. And in the late 1960’s it was merged with Mellon Institute of Industrial Research and hence named as Carnegie Mellon University that is valid till date.
